Neighborhood Parade & Picnic

The neighborhood Memorial Day parade and picnic was today, and we were proud participants with the stroller and Rufus. Everyone chipped in for a sophisticated water slide and that kept the kids busy for hours. Here's a few shots of the parade (led by the turquoise MG), the water slide with our neighbors girl Matty, and Courtney at the picnic.

How fun!! I love neighborhood get-togethers like this......kids of all ages playing together. Our neighborhood has done these before and even our street has done some on a smaller scale. It has created such a bond (of sorts) with the kids. The older kids watch out for the younger ones - even on the bus and in the school lunchroom.

I love the shot of the kids running and riding their bikes and skateboards and razors behind the MG. That was about the cutest thing I have seen ever. (Except of course when Courtney gives me "the lip," that is number 1, the kids number 2.)
